Public historians wear many hats. Often, the same person is a researcher, a writer, an interpreter, and now, with the growth of the Internet the presence of museums online, a web content developer. That same person is connected to academic historians, other public historians, institutions of all kinds, and the general public.

This portfolio is a reflection of the hats I wear: interpreter, educator, academic, and cheerleader for making connections with each other and with the public via Web 2.0. It was created in part as a portfolio of my work as required by my MA program and originally for my History in the Digital Age class, though I hope it will extend past both of these purposes and become a useful place for discussion and exploration of the themes and issues involved in “doing” public history.
